Lexington School District Two Innovation Center Event
The Lexington School District Two Innovation Center (L2IC) in Cayce hosted an Industry Panel designed to keep educators and administrators informed about the evolving job market. The panel featured industry leaders who shared insights into the workforce, discussed company requirements for future employees, and highlighted internship and career opportunities available to students.
Cordiro Harrison, a Project Manager with CarolinaPower, participated on the panel. He shared his experiences and perspectives from the electrical construction industry, emphasizing the importance of preparing students for success beyond the classroom. Harrison encouraged students to approach interviews with confidence, suggesting they make eye contact, communicate effectively, and be ready to articulate their interest in their chosen industry. His commitment to assisting the future workforce is rooted in his own career path, as he attended a trade school after high school.
