## Fourth Grade Teachers Invited to Apply for 2027 Liberty Day

Fourth grade teachers from public schools across South Carolina are invited to apply for the 2027 Liberty Day at the Statehouse. The application deadline for teachers is Friday, Oct. 2, 2026.

Liberty Day is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 19, 2027, at the South Carolina Statehouse. This event is part of the state’s commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, and 250 fourth-grade students are expected to participate.

During Liberty Day, students will have the opportunity to meet historical interpreters, engage in hands-on activities, and explore South Carolina’s role in the American Revolution. The experience also aims to introduce students to state government and civic participation.
