Lexington, S.C. — River Bluff High School football is No. 7 in Class 5A in the S.C. Prep Football Media Poll released Tuesday, Oct. 13, carrying a 6-1 record into the next stretch of region play.

Dutch Fork sits atop Class 5A at 7-0 on the media ballot, followed by Northwestern and James Island, with River Bluff slotted between Byrnes and Boiling Springs in the top 10.

High School On SI coverage of the statewide Top 25 notes River Bluff on the Week 9 slate against a top program after Chapin fell 21-8, keeping the Gators in the Midlands conversation as undefeated Dutch Fork remains the Class 5A standard.

The media poll is separate from the SI Top 25 but uses the same mid-October snapshot of SCHSL play, and River Bluff 6-1 mark matches the record listed on the Class 5A ballot.

For Lexington County readers, the Class 5A top-10 slot is the clearest statewide ranking signal yet for River Bluff as Week 9 begins.
