LEXINGTON, S.C. — First Community Corp., the Lexington company that owns First Community Bank, said Wednesday that it earned $8 million in the third quarter, beating what analysts had projected.

The bank reported 85 cents per share for the period. Leaving out costs tied to mergers and acquisitions, the figure was 86 cents, compared with an analyst forecast of 80 cents.

That profit is well ahead of the same quarter in 2025, when the company earned $5.192 million, or 67 cents per share. Revenue for the quarter came to $36 million.

Some of the gain reflects a Georgia bank the company bought earlier this year, a deal that closed January 8, 2026. By September 30, its loan book stood at $1.610 billion, while customers kept $2.005 billion on deposit.

Directors also signed off on a 17-cent quarterly dividend. Investors who own shares on November 3 will receive that payment on November 17.
