COLUMBIA, S.C. — Richland School District Two is calling alumni, families, and neighbors to a closing centennial program at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2026. It will be held inside the district Performing Arts Center at 763 Fashion Drive in Columbia.
A November 5 district notice bills the night as the Grand Centennial Celebration Finale marking 100 years of learning, leadership, and legacy from 1926 to 2026. Planners promise a visual look back at leaders and milestones plus showcases of student, staff, and alumni work in academics, the arts, and athletics.
A companion centennial page says the year opened January 29 with a historical museum in the Little Red Schoolhouse at Killian Elementary School, 2621 Clemson Road, Columbia. State Sen. Tamika Isaac Devine presented a Senate resolution naming that January date Richland School District Two Centennial Celebration Day.
The December finale is set beside the Richland Two Institute of Innovation on Fashion Drive. The district is still collecting memories at [email protected] and accepting gifts through the Richland Two Education Foundation at P.O. Box 292047, Columbia, SC 29229.
District leaders say the night is meant for graduates, current and former staff, and neighbors who want to reconnect as the district looks toward its next century.
