LEXINGTON, S.C. – The Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center is now accepting applications for the Doris Burkett Scholarship, according to a Thursday press release from the Chamber.
They said the Doris Burkett Scholarship is a $5,000 grant given to a student from Lexington School District One who will be attending a four-year college, university, or technical college. Ideal applicants are students with a weighted GPA of 2.0 to 3.5, who are in need of financial assistance and are involved with extracurricular activities and the Lexington community.
The release said applications must be received by the Chamber no later than Friday, April 12. Applicants can download the application by clicking here.
