Juanita, a proud graduate of Lexington High School from the class of 1961, dedicated an impressive 34 years to the banking industry. Starting her career at Lexington State Bank, she continued to serve the community even as the bank transitioned to BB&T. Her hard work and commitment helped shape the bank into a respectable institution that many to this day rely on.
A Strong Family Woman
Alongside her professional accomplishments, Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She spent 63 beautiful years by the side of her husband, Wayne Duvall, who will forever treasure their time together. Juanita’s family extended well beyond her immediate family, as her absence will be felt deeply by her daughter, Sherri Duvall, and son, Randy Duvall, who is married to Katia.
Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren
Juanita was fortunate to have four grandchildren who adored her: Jennifer Smith (married to Buck Smith), Corey Duvall (with wife Emily), Christian Duvall (married to Whitney), and Cameron Duvall (whose partner is Olivia). Furthermore, she was blessed with three great-grandchildren, including Charlie Smith, and two others named Carley Duvall and Julian Duvall, all of whom brought endless joy to her life.
A Loving Sister and Friend
Juanita is also survived by her numerous brothers and sisters, including brothers Leon, Larry, Richard, and Laney Enlow, alongside her sisters Eleanor E. Ford, Harriett Berzins, Janice Padowicz, Gwen Gantt, Alice Clegg, and Laura Decker. Even though she was predeceased by her brother Dan Enlow and sisters Judy Knotts and Joan Beckham, the love shared among family members will continue to honor Juanita’s memory.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate Her Life
To honor the remarkable life of Juanita Duvall, a memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, February 6, 2025. The service will take place at St. David Lutheran Church, located at 132 St. Davids Church Road, West Columbia, SC 29170, starting at 11:00 am. Following the service, a brief family visitation will be hosted in the church commons area, offering family and friends an opportunity to gather and share cherished memories.
