Perrin was born to Lenora and James Perrin and later became the stepson of H.D. Williams. Raised on a dairy farm in Villa Rica, Georgia, he embraced a life full of hard work and dedication from an early age. After completing his education at Villa Rica High School, he attended The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, where he distinguished himself in athletics, excelling in both football and baseball.

Beyond his impressive academic and athletic accomplishments, Mickey was well-known as an avid outdoorsman, often spending his free time hunting and fishing. His warm personality and great sense of humor allowed him to connect with many, making him well-loved among friends and family alike.

During his professional career, Perrin made significant contributions to the banking industry, culminating in a role as president of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce. His leadership extended to the Country Club of Lexington, where he also served as president. Apart from his banking career, he was actively involved in education as an instructor at the Adult Education Center in Belton, South Carolina, and he later enjoyed a successful retirement from Herndon Chevrolet.

In his post-retirement years, Mickey devoted himself to family and the Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church, where he was an active member of the church choir and participated in the men’s ministry. His commitment to service and community was evident throughout his life, making a lasting impact on those around him.

Mickey is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Perrin, along with a close-knit family that includes his brother, Dennis (with Rachel) Perrin, and sister, Teresa (with Tommy) Sanders. He leaves behind two daughters, Christy (with Chris) Koon and Pam Carver, along with stepchildren Allison (with Rick) Sanford and Tripp (with Allison) Leonard. His legacy continues through his six grandchildren: Caleb, Graham, Luke, Dorothy, Emma Jacobs, and Sara Perrero, in addition to four step-grandchildren: Gray Spence, Rebecca Spence, Brice Leonard, and Hannah Leonard.
