Born in Hickory, North Carolina, to John F. and Marinel B. Rhodes, Jerry graduated from Myrtle Beach High School. His service to the country is commendable, as he proudly served in the United States Navy. After military service, Jerry returned home and built a successful career, retiring as a supervisor from the Columbia Post Office. He also co-owned Ailes Market in Columbia, SC.
Beyond his professional contributions, Jerry was an active member of his community. He attended Westminster Presbyterian Church and served on the Board of Deacons, truly embodying the spirit of service. He was involved with several organizations, including the Dutch Fork and North Columbia Optimist Clubs and the St. Andrews Jaycees. His proud membership in Dutch Fork Lodge #402 Masonic Lodge and the Jamil Shrine Temple further illustrates his dedication to fellowship and community.
