Lexington, South Carolina – Bradd Anthony Molk, a well-respected educator and family man, passed away on May 12, 2025, at the age of 68. His death has prompted an outpouring of grief and remembrances from the community and those who knew him.

Born on January 30, 1957, in Kenton, Ohio, Bradd was the son of Lloyd A. and Eulah M. (Shepherd) Molk. He is survived by his devoted wife Cindi Jo (Robson) Molk, whom he married on June 29, 1985, at St. John’s Evangelical Church in Kenton. The couple shared a fulfilling life together and raised two children, Natalie Ann Molk and Nicholas Anthony Molk, both of whom reside in Lexington, South Carolina.

In addition to his immediate family, Bradd leaves behind several other relatives. He is survived by his nephew, Mark (Rachael) Molk of Dover, Ohio; niece Kelli (Tim) Lippenga of Hartsville, Ohio; mother-in-law Shirley Robson of Kenton, Ohio; and sister-in-law Debbi (Doug) Sprang of Kenton. Additional survivors include niece Kelli (Michael) Hoff and nephews Ryan (Samantha) Sprang and Caleb Sprang. Bradd was preceded in death by his older brother Brett Franklin Molk and his aunt Pauline (Molk) Siemon.

Education and Career

Bradd graduated from Kenton Senior High School before continuing his education at The Ohio University, where he played college football for the Bobcats. He went on to earn both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Comprehensive English and Educational Administration from The University of Dayton in Ohio.

His career in education spanned 31 years, during which he served as a middle and high school English teacher and held principal positions at various elementary, middle, and high schools. Bradd concluded his professional journey as the Director of Instruction for Lancaster City Schools in Lancaster, Ohio, where he was admired for his dedication to student success.

Community Involvement and Legacy

Bradd was a lifelong member of St. John’s Evangelical Church in Kenton, Ohio, where he actively participated in a variety of roles, including serving on the church board and conducting children’s messages. He was committed to instilling the love of Jesus Christ in his children and made it a daily practice to recite The Lord’s Prayer with his family each evening.

Beyond his educational career and community service, Bradd had a keen interest in genealogy, particularly honoring his grandfather, Frank P. Molk, who emigrated from Slovenia in 1905. In a heartfelt tribute, he honored his grandfather’s memory by engraving his name on The Immigrants’ Wall of Honor at Ellis Island in New York City in 2005.

Memorial Service

To honor his life and legacy, a memorial service is scheduled for May 21, 2025, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – Lexington Chapel in Lexington, South Carolina. The service will begin at 1:00 PM, with a period for friends and family to visit from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Following the memorial, burial services will take place at Celestial Memorial Gardens in West Columbia, South Carolina.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Teresa Olson, Prisma Health Baptist Hospital, and the staff at Innovative Renal Care Lexington Kidney Center for their compassionate care during Bradd’s final days. As his family reflects on his life, they describe it as well-lived and take comfort in their belief that he is now at peace with the Lord Jesus Christ.
