LEXINGTON, S.C. — U.S. Sen. Darline Graham cast her own ballot in Lexington late Thursday, Oct. 29, stopping at the county elections office a few hours after President Donald Trump held a rally for her in Rock Hill.
Her stop came around 5:30 p.m. at 605 Main St., home of the county voter registration and elections office. The Republican nominee used the stop to press supporters to show up, warning that a write-in vote or a skipped race would in effect help her Democratic opponent, Annie Andrews.
Graham, who has held the seat since her appointment following the death of her brother, Lindsey Graham, is seeking a full term on Nov. 3. She won the Republican nomination in August over U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman, who has said he will not campaign for her. A separate grassroots effort is urging voters to write in Norman, though he is not part of it.
Early voting in South Carolina continues through Saturday. More than 750,000 people statewide had already voted early, or 21% of registered voters.
