LEXINGTON, S.C. — Lexington-area pet owners will have a new option for daytime dog walks and in-home pet care starting Dec. 1, when Lindsey Perriello reopens her business, Lindsey’s Dog Walking, after moving south from Pennsylvania.
Perriello ran a certified dog-walking and pet-sitting business near Pittsburgh, where she cared for animals belonging to roughly 300 clients, according to a release announcing the move. She plans to serve Lexington and nearby communities.
The business describes itself as insured and bonded and sends caregivers into clients’ homes. Visits are one-on-one and can be booked in 30-minute, 45-minute or one-hour blocks for walks or pet sitting.
Perriello holds Fear-Free certification, training aimed at easing stress and anxiety in nervous or reactive animals. Pet Sitters International has certified her as a professional sitter, and PetTech trained her in animal first aid and CPR.
She said she is comfortable caring for older animals, pets with medical or behavioral needs, dogs that react on a leash and timid pets that need extra patience. Owners can arrange a meet-and-greet before booking regular service.
