Lexington

Lexington School District Two is rolling out an initiative this summer to provide free meals to students throughout Lexington County. Under this federally funded program, children will receive nutritious breakfasts and lunches at designated meal sites, ensuring that no child goes hungry this summer.

The program is open to all children aged 18 and under, regardless of whether they are enrolled in Lexington Two schools. This outreach aims to support families in need and promote healthy eating among youth during the summer months.

  • Thursday: Breakfast and lunch for four days.

The pickup location for this service is:

Pine Ridge Middle School

Pickup times are set for Mondays and Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Unlike the Open Meal Sites, children do not need to be present at the time of pickup, and they do not have to be students at Pine Ridge Middle School to participate. Meals will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, emphasizing prompt arrival to ensure availability.

To assist with meal planning, registration is encouraged through the provided website. This program reflects the commitment of Lexington School District Two to combat food insecurity during the summer months and to nurture the well-being of the community’s children.
