LEXINGTON, S.C. — Two new boys volleyball state champions were crowned Saturday, Oct. 31, at Lexington High School in Lexington, S.C., which hosted both South Carolina High School League title matches this fall.
In Class 4A, Indian Land beat Lucy Beckham 3-1. Beckham grabbed the first set 25-19, but Indian Land won each of the next three sets to secure the championship.
The Class 5A final also went four sets. Carolina Forest won the opener 25-22, dropped an 88-point second set to Rock Hill 45-43, and then closed it out 25-16 and 25-17. The Panthers had finished as state runner-up in 2025.
The league held all four finalists for a joint press conference on Oct. 30, the day before the matches.
Lexington High sits at 2463 Augusta Highway. Fans bought tickets online through GoFan, sat on their own team side of the gym and had to follow the Lexington School District One clear bag policy.
Boys volleyball is a newer SCHSL sport, with the first state champion crowned in 2023.
