LEXINGTON, S.C. — Tuesday, Oct. 27, is the last chance for a while to grab a roll at Ganbei. The Japanese sushi and hibachi restaurant on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington is shutting down for a couple of weeks while it renovates its dining space.
The restaurant shared the news on Facebook and on a letter taped to its front door, saying it plans to add new features and freshen up the inside. Owners said reopening news will be posted on Facebook.
For its final day, the online menu lists Tuesday hours of 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. for dinner. The restaurant normally stays closed on Mondays.
Ganbei sits in Suite F at 5580 Sunset Blvd., in a strip that also holds a Menchie’s frozen yogurt shop and a Stacked bagel spot, near a Walmart Supercenter. Its menu runs from sushi rolls to hibachi shrimp, chicken and steak, plus desserts and a full bar.
State transportation counts show more than 36,000 vehicles a day on that section of Sunset Boulevard.
